Construction is well underway on Habitat Nelson's William Street development, where 10 quality homes are being built to give local families a pathway into homeownership through our Rent-to-Buy programme.
Designed to exceed Healthy Homes Standards, the development is being built using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), an innovative construction system that provides exceptional insulation and creates an airtight building envelope. This helps keep homes warmer in winter, cooler in summer and reduces the energy needed to maintain a comfortable temperature.
Each home will also feature a ventilation system and solar panels, creating healthier homes with lower running costs that are built to perform for many years to come.
The William Street development reflects Habitat for Humanity Nelson's commitment to delivering high quality, affordable homes for families in our region.
The homes are part of our Rent-to-Buy programme, which gives families the opportunity to work towards homeownership. Families who meet the programme criteria pay an affordable rent while building towards purchasing their home outright after five years.

Your credit card will be charged once you submit your first monthly gift, and future donations will be made on that same day going forward. If you wish to change your payment date to better suit your pay cycle, please get in touch via information@habitat.org.nz, or phone us on (09) 579 4111 and we can easily action that for you.
