Habitat receives $1.6 million to build homes in Auckland and Northland.
Housing Minister Dr Nick Smith today announced $16.4 million of grants to support six community housing providers to complete social housing developments in Auckland, Northland, Hamilton, Bay of Plenty, Wellington, and Canterbury.
This included a grant of $1.6 million for Habitat Auckland and Northland that will allow 10 homes to be built. This is part of the Social Housing Fund which will allow Habitat to increase the number of home it builds not only in Auckland, but in the future, other areas like Christchurch. more...
