Leading a Global Village Team
Do you have what it takes to lead your own Global Village team? We are always looking for new Team Leaders. If you would like to lead an open team, we can help you recruit participants. You may also form a team from an existing group, like a school, university, church, club, company, or other organisation.
It takes enthusiasm and motivation to be a Team Leader, but it is an experience that will change your group forever. Working alongside the new home partners and sharing their joy and hope will greatly impact you - and the strengthened bonds within your group will continue once you are back home.
You can choose your destination country. There about 40 Global Village host countries to choose from, in Africa & Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe & Central Asia, Latin American & Caribbean, and US & Canada. Allow at least six months for planning your trip.
Habitat for Humanity will support you in your trip planning. At an early stage we will agree on various responsibilities between you and us to ensure the planning goes smoothly. Part of our responsibility will be to:
- Train you as a Team Leader
- Answer your questions and help you choose a destination
- Give you fundraising ideas
- Assist with trip administration, such as arranging insurance and accommodation
- Help prepare your itinerary and budget
If you are interested in leading a team of 10 - 25 people, please fill out our Volunteer Enquiry Form.
