Corporate Partnership

67% of New Zealanders (2.4 million) agree that they think more highly of a company and 54% feel more loyal to a company that supports a charity or worthy cause1.

Corporate support enables Habitat for Humanity New Zealand to work towards fulfilling our mission of partnering with people of goodwill and families in housing need, to eliminate substandard housing by building, renovating and selling simple decent homes on an affordable basis.

Many companies are giving back to their communities and staff through involvement with not for profit organisations demonstrating their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) “is the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of the life of the work force, their families, as well as the local community and society at large”.

Companies are increasingly looking to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a proven vehicle to drive greater staff, stakeholder and community engagement.

Habitat for Humanity depends upon the generosity of community partners, sponsors and donors to fund each and every house. The costs to build a home are comprised of land, labour, and materials.
Build sponsorships play an important role in our affordable housing program. We are also grateful to have local and national supporters who provide services and products to us at either discounted rates or at no charge. This generous support enables us to continue to build decent, affordable housing in partnership with those in need.

Habitat for Humanity seeks New Zealand companies and corporations to work with us to ensure that all people have decent, affordable housing. Corporate partnerships certainly help to address the problem of sub-standard housing. Involvement with Habitat for Humanity can provide positive benefits to corporations, including tax deductions, high profile public relations and a permanent and positive effect on company morale. Company employees actively involved on a Habitat build, united in the goal of helping those in need, get to see each other – at all levels - at their best. It's an opportunity to grow, to bond and to experience good feelings that get carried back to the workplace.

We are very grateful to our donors for their support. If you or your company is interested in providing resources or services, please contact David Lawson at National Office.
