BANGLADESH FRIENDSHIP BUILD
Build hope with families seeking new lives
The tea plantation and forests that roll across the hills of northern Bangladesh bring abundant harvests. But life can be hard for many of those who rely on seasonal work in the countryside. Habitat for Humanity is reaching out a hand of friendship to provide local workers and their families from Srimangal with the opportunity to transform their lives by providing new environmentally-friendly earth-brick homes. The Friendship Build will inaugurate a new phase in Habitat for Humanity's work in Bangladesh. After celebrating helping 3,000 families improve their living conditions in its first dozen years, Habitat now plans to serve a further 4,000 families in just three years, by 2014.
