Payroll Giving

A new voluntary scheme called Payroll giving will be available from 7th January 2010.

This will allow donors to make donations to Habitat for Humanity and other charitable organisations automatically from their pay. It’s an alternative to giving and retaining a receipt and claiming a tax credit at the end of the year.

The payment will be forwarded to Habitat for Humanity by the donor’s employer, and the donor will have immediate tax benefits reflected in their normal pay, based on the amount of their donation.

If you make a $10 donation to Habitat every week you will recieve a tax credit of $3.33
