onstruction of Habitat homes, but most are offered to the general public to purchase at reduced prices. Help us continue to benefit our community. By donating to Habitat ReStore, you can...
- Free up needed space and eliminate disposal fees
- Provide useful materials to others, so that they may improve their homes
- Conserve landfill space, leaving more room for parks, schools, etc.
Making a Monetary Donation
Habitat ReStore accepts all monetary donations. Your dollars will be used to further our mission by allowing us unrestricted funds to offset operational costs. To find out more about how to donate to Habitat ReStore and what your money will be used for, click here.
Making a Material Donation
Step 1
When you have good, reusable or new materials, give us a call at (09) 271-3358. You will be asked for a description of the materials as well as your contact information. We prefer that donors include delivery of the materials to the store as part of their donation, so please indicate if you are able to deliver your donation to the Habitat ReStore when you call.
Step 2
Your call will be returned to determine if we are able to use your donation and to schedule a drop off time or collection time, if necessary.
Your call will be returned to determine if we are able to use your donation and to schedule a drop off time or collection time, if necessary.
Step 3
If the Habitat ReStore is picking up donated items, we will call the day before to confirm the pick-up. For the safest, most efficient pick-ups, please follow these guidelines:
- Have all materials available on ground level (i.e. garage or driveway)
- Please mark all items "Habitat ReStore"
- Absolutely no hazardous materials
- We are unable to haul away trash
As we are only able to accept reusable materials, our staff may have to decline some materials at the time of pickup. Please don't be angry or insulted by our screening process. Our goal is to turn the proceeds of our sales into the construction of Habitat homes. If we take items we cannot sell, we end up simply being a storage facility or a repository for the dump.
