Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Retail Assistant for its Hastings ReStore.

Habitat for Humanity Central North Island is a Christian organisation dedicated to eliminating poverty housing in our community and internationally. The ReStore is a quality second hand goods shop which receives donated goods and sells them to raise funds for our housing programme.

 

This is a rare opportunity to join the Habitat team. Ideally we are looking for:

  • An all rounder able to help in all aspects of the business from doing pick up and deliveries to sorting, pricing and displaying donated goods

  • A can do attitude

  • Exceptional customer service

  • Eye for detail

  • Energy and enthusiasm

  • Ability to work with and at times direct volunteers

  • Willingness to lend a hand where needed

 

The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment and is always happy to go the extra mile. Retail experience is an advantage but not a must. An affinity with the Christian values of the organisation is essential.

 

In return the right person will get to work in a fantastic international organisation with a great team that exists to make a difference in the lives of those in need. The role requires 20 hours a week

1pm -5pm Tuesday-Friday and 9am – 1pm Saturdays.
