Habitat for Humanity Central North Island (HFH CNI) has given 82 families a “Hand Up” into their own simple, decent, affordable homes . HFH CNI covers a geographical region inclusive of Hamilton, Greater Waikato, Taupo, Gisborne, Napier and Hastings. The Affiliate began in 1995 as HFH Hamilton and in 2003 grew to cover the Waikato region. In 2007 HFH Waikato amalgamated with Hawkes Bay and Gisborne to become HFH CNI. We have a Board of Directors who governs our organisation and a small management team who work from the CNI office in Hamilton. Regional committees are involved in project work and operate from their local areas. We have a ReStore (2nd hand goods store) in Hamilton and Hawkes Bay that raise funds towards our housing programme.
