About Us

Since formation in 1995, Habitat for Humanity Taranaki (formerly Habitat for Humanity North Taranaki) has helped house 28 families in need, providing 129 people with a decent, affordable place to call home.
 
Habitat Taranaki completed its first house in 1996 and since then has constructed another 27 houses:


  • 11 in Waitara
  • 9 in Inglewood
  • 4 in New Plymouth
  • 4 in Stratford

Local Supporters

Habitat Taranaki has received substantial grants from the Taranaki Electricity Trust (TET), TSB Community Trust, Dow AgroSciences, and NZ Lottery Grants, as well as continual support from many other local businesses, for which we are truly thankful. Local Taranaki people have been tremendous in their support of Habitat here, especially when an international Global Village team has been over participating in a build.
