Graham
Alsweiler
- ChairGraham has been on the Board of Habitat in Invercargill for about 6 years. He’s an accountant and, with assistance from other volunteers on the Finance Committee, he keeps our finances in good order. Graham is married to Ann and they have a son who is an artist. He is the Director of Corporate Services at Environment Southland.
Sue is 40, a born and bred Southlander and has been happily married to Brett since 1996. Sue works at Environment Southland, where she’s been employed since 1995. She enjoys playing golf and spending time eating and drinking with family and friends. Sue has been involved with Habitat for Humanity in Invercargill as a volunteer since 2005 and is now on the Board. Sue enjoys being part of an organisation that is both local and international and was attracted to Habitat by the “Hand up not a hand out” theme of the charity and the vision that “Everyone deserves a decent place to live”.

Roger
BeattieRoger was born and raised in Southland and has recently returned to Invercargill with his wife, Rosie, and two young boys after nearly two decades away. Roger is a registered architect and has taken up the reins at a long established local architectural practice. He enjoys spending time with family, reading, mountaining biking, tramping and generally getting reacquainted with the south. Roger was attracted to the team at Habitat by the thought of using his experience and knowledge in the design and construction industries to help those less fortunate in the local community. He enjoys the idea of being able to help others to help themselves and hopes to provide positive input to the local Habitat team.
ReStore
Manager
Angela Stainburn
My name is Angela Stainburn and I have been the manager of the Habitat For Humanity ReStore since 1997. I love my job as I feel it genuinely makes a difference to people’s lives. I never fail to be touched by the on-going support of the local community by continuing to donate an amazing array of furniture, appliances, whiteware, linen, bric- brac, books, toys, clothing etc. We are lucky enough to have an extremely large ex- supermarket building here which means we can house a variety of different goods.
The sales of these goods provides funding for the building of Habitat For Humanity homes in Invercargill. We also help the local community by selling good quality pre-loved products at a fraction of the price of buying new.
