The Habitat For Humanity Restore (previously known as the Bargain Barn) was established in Invercargill in 1997 and is situated in the former Woolworths supermarket building at 33 Glengarry Crescent, Invercargill.

It was the first shop to be established in New Zealand by Habitat For Humanity and it uses funds raised from the sale of 2nd hand goods to help disadvantaged families into their own homes.

The Restore is the biggest store owned by Habitat For Humanity in New Zealand and it has parking for over 100 cars. The shop provides the local community with a huge array of low cost goods thanks to the generosity of Southlanders and their continuing support. We accept most types of goods in good, clean condition.

The Restore staff are helped by a team of volunteers and we welcome enquiries from anyone wanting to learn new skills or to gain experience in a retail environment.

Opening hours for the store are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturdays 10am - 4pm. A collection service is also available for larger items, which is run on weekdays from 10am to 3pm.
